1871 – 1942
He studied at the Kamianets-Podilskyi Men’s Gymnasium (Ivan Vaskov taught him drawing). In 1888 he entered the Kyiv University, but as a participant in the student riots was expelled and sent to the Symbirsk province. After exile, Mykola Burachek returned to Kamianets-Podilskyi, where he became an actor in a local Russian drama troupe, devoting 17 years of his life to theatrical art. During these years he did not leave painting, participated in the design of theatrical productions.
In 1905–1910, Mykola studied at the Krakiv Academy of Fine Arts (in the class of Jan Stanisławski), and in 1910–1912 in Paris.
He designed performances in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk.
